When Vemma’s™ award-winning entrepreneur President and CEO BK Boreyko scrolls through his e-mail, he reads more than praise for his increasingly popular liquid nutrition (khasiat VeMMA) program. He reads about changed lives. “I get e-mails from people every week; stories, letters telling me what the product has done for their family or for their parents and kids,” BK Boreyko says. “They say it has changed their lives forever (Mengubah hidup).” Such e-mail is emotional for the charismatic founder of Arizona-based Vemma™”, who launched the nutritional supplement company with members of his family along with a prominent group of network marketing professionals.


BK, with his sisters Karen and Lauren, created the company to achieve a mission – to enrich the quality of families’ lives around the world – and Vemma™ is doing that every day with its ultra-premium quality nutritional formula.

The son of successful network marketers Ben and Dottie Boreyko, BK soaked up the industry at a young age. At 9, he began helping his parents in the day-to-day operation of their Amway business. “Growing up in the industry was like going to summer school for Free Enterprise 101 with your dad as the teacher,” BK says. “It was something I just grew up around.” His father would pay him $10 to read a personal development book and write a book report. The first book BK read was The Magic of Thinking Big by David Schwartz. As a result, BK incorporated the power of proactive thinking into business opportunities and, by 18, developed his own distributorship. “If my dad hadn’t made a decision to get involved in network marketing, I don’t think I would have been exposed to such invaluable personal development.”

BK Boreyko ventured into corporate America, where he worked in direct mail advertising. He cut his teeth as an ad exec, but every time he approached a business owner, he learned the same thing: There’s nothing like the power of word-of-mouth advertising. “Everybody wants buzz about their restaurant, their movie or their business,” he says. “But if you go to a restaurant owner and propose a free dinner for every 10 people you bring in, they’ll look at you funny.”



Frustrated with the advertising industry, BK went back to the networking business with his parents after they sold the Amway business. He became successful with another network marketing company based in Montreal. Together, the family – mom, dad, his sisters and his brother – earned a handsome six-figure income every month. But the company began to erode through corporate mismanagement. His mother, Dottie, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in February 1994 and passed away only months later. Then the company for which they were distributors declared bankruptcy 10 days before Christmas. Unfortunately, the family lost their father, Ben, to heart disease just a few years later.

“When you go through that much pain over a short time, you need to find something to turn your pain into a passion.” BK says. “You need to make something good come out of it. That’s why I believe in empowering people with knowledge about how supplementation can impact the quality of your life, and how it may help you avoid some of the health challenges that so many other people encounter.”
